Use this recipe to make a DIY version of Young Living's Joy blend for a fraction of the price
20 drops Bergamot | |
20 drops Ylang Ylang | |
10 drops Geranium | |
10 drops Lemon | |
8 drops Coriander Seed | |
5 drops Tangerine | |
5 drops Jasmine | |
3 drops Roman Chamomile | |
3 drops Palmarosa | |
3 drops Rose Otto |
Add all of the essential oils to an essential oil dropper bottle and mix well.
To make a Joy roller recipe, add 8 drops of the master blend to a 10 ml roller bottle and fill the rest with carrier oil. To diffuse, add 3-5 drops of the master blend to a 100 ml diffuser or 6-10 drops to a 200 ml diffuser.
If you don't have all of these oils, you could try a similar blend from another high quality supplier. The closest we could find is Rocky Mountain's Love. It has 5 of the same oils (Lemon, Geranium, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, and Rose), plus Mandarin which is very similar to Tangerine. It doesn't have Coriander, Jasmine, Roman Chamomile or Palmarosa and the proportions of the oils are different so it's not a particularly close match, but it's similar and could be worth a try to see if you like it.
You could also try making a similar blend with substitutions for oils that you don't have. Obviously the more substitutions you make, the more your blend will be different to the Young Living blend, but try them and see what you think. You might like the substitutions just as much or even more:
Use your copycat Joy blend to promote happiness and confidence, for romance or to help release emotional blocks.
