15 drops Cypress
12 drops Peppermint
8 drops Marjoram
5 drops Basil
5 drops Grapefruit
4 drops Lavender
Warnings - Cypress oil is best avoided during pregancy and while breastfeeding. Do not apply peppermint oil on or near the face of infants and children. Peppermint oil is best avoided during pregancy and while breastfeeding. Basil oil is best avoided during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Basil oil is best avoided by babies and young children. Grapefruit oil can cause photosensitivity. If you use it on your skin, avoid exposure to the sun or sunbeds for 12 hours.

Add all of the oils to an essential oil dropper bottle and mix well. This makes a master blend that can be added to the carrier oils you use for massage. For a 2% dilution, add 4 drops of the master blend to 10 ml of carrier oil or 40 drops of the master blend to 100 ml of carrier oil.

If you don't have basil essential oil you could try using rosemary instead. It won't be exactly the same but rosemary does have a somewhat similar aroma and has similar benefits as basil for tired, achy muscles. If you don't have grapefruit, try any other citrus oil you have on hand. Again it won't be quite the same but it will be similar.
