Natural Lip Balm Recipe

This lip balm is easy to make, super nourishing and smells delicious. Combine shea butter, beeswax, almond and jojoba with uplifting essential oils for a lip balm you'll want to use again and again.

Ingredients


The dilution of this recipe is 2.5%. This dilution is suitable for chronic conditions like aches and pains.


7 drops Bergamot (use a non photo-sensitive brand)
7 drops Sweet Orange
.2 oz Beeswax
.5 oz Shea Butter
.1 oz Jojoba Oil
.1 oz Sweet almond oil
6 drops Vitamin E Oil
Warnings - Bergamot oil can cause photosensitivity. If you use it on your skin, avoid exposure to the sun or sunbeds for 12 hours (unless you're using a non photosensitive brand).

1. Add the beeswax and shea butter to a glass bowl or jar.
2. Put the bowl or jar in a saucepan filled with 1 inch of water and melt over medium heat.
3. When the ingredients are melted, add the almond oil and jojoba oil and stir.
4. Remove the jar from the saucepan and stir in the Vitamin E oil and essential oils.
5. Carefully pour into lip balm tubes or tins and allow to cool.
