Ingredients

30 drops Grapefruit
20 drops Sweet Orange
1 cup Sugar
3 tbsp Olive Oil

Ingredients

Directions/Comments

Combine the ingredients in a glass bowl and mix gently - don't over-mix as you don't want to dissolve the sugar.

You can use white sugar, brown sugar or raw (turbinado) sugar. Brown sugar is the gentlest and is ideal if you have sensitive skin. Raw sugar is the coarsest and white sugar is a happy medium. I use white sugar.

Sugar scrub is best used immediately after your shower or bath but can also be used immediately before. Pat your skin dry, spread the paste on your body and rub lightly, then rinse off. Don't use on your face as even brown sugar can be damaging to the sensitive skin of the face.

Warnings - Grapefruit oil can cause photosensitivity. If you use it on your skin, avoid exposure to the sun or sunbeds for 12 hours.
