Make your own version of doTERRA's Serenity blend for a fraction of the price with this copycat version of the 2021 recipe.
30 drops Ylang Ylang | |
25 drops Lavender | |
20 drops German Chamomile | |
20 drops Cedarwood | |
20 drops Ho Wood | |
15 drops Vetiver | |
15 drops Sandalwood | |
10 drops Marjoram | |
5 drops Vanilla Absolute |
Combine all of the oils in a 10ml dropper bottle.
As with all copycat recipes, you’ll get the best results if you use all of the oils in the original recipe. However Serenity includes a lot of different oils – 9 of them in total, so unless you have a big collection, chances are you won’t have all of them.
If you want to make some substitutions, you could try Roman Chamomile instead of German Chamomile. You could also try using fewer different wood oils but increasing the number of drops of each – eg if you have Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Vetiver but not Ho Wood, you could use 10 extra drops of Cedarwood and 10 extra drops of Sandalwood and leave out the Ho Wood. If you have Vanilla Oleoresin but not Vanilla Absolute, try using the Oleoresin instead but consider only using 4 drops. Both will give you a vanilla scent but the Absolute is a bit stronger.
