Ingredients

26 drops Vetiver
24 drops Lavender
20 drops Ylang Ylang
16 drops Frankincense
10 drops Clary Sage
10 drops Marjoram
6 drops Cistus (Labdanum)
6 drops Spearmint
Warnings - Ylang ylang oil is best avoided by babies and young children. According to some sources, Frankincense Serrata is not safe for use with babies and young children but Frankincense Carterii and Frankincense Frereana are generally considered Kidsafe. Clary Sage oil is best avoided during pregancy. Cistus oil is best avoided during pregnancy.

Instructions

Note that Cistus and Labdanum are different names for the same essential oil. It's listed as Labdanum on the doTERRA Peace bottle but you'll find it more commonly under the name Cistus.

To make the blend, add all of the essential oils to an essential oil dropper bottle and mix well. Add 3-5 drops of this to your diffuser whenever you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed and you feel the need for reassurance.

To make a Peace roller recipe, add 8 drops of the master blend to a 10 ml roller bottle and fill the rest with carrier oil.

If you don't own a lot of these oils, you could try a similar blend from another reputable supplier. Edens Garden's Worry Less is a good substitute. It contains all of the the same oils and is pretty much a duplicate of the doTERRA Peace blend at a much lower price.

Alternatively you could try making a similar blend with substitutions for any oils you don't have. I wouldn't recommend substituting for Vetiver, Lavender, Ylang Ylang or Frankincense as they're the main components of the blend but you could try substituting for some of the other oils:

  • If you don't have Clary Sage, try Juniper or extra Lavender
  • If you don't have Marjoram, try extra Clary Sage or Lavender
  • If you don't have Cistus, try Roman Chamomile, Geranium or extra Clary Sage or Marjoram
  • If you don't have Spearmint, I wouldn't recommend substituting with Peppermint as it's a bit too stimulating for a calming blend. Instead I'd try Roman Chamomile or extra Lavender. Your blend won't have the same minty tones as the Peace blend but it will have a very similar effect emotionally
