Mix all ingredients together in a glass bowl or jar and apply to the skin.

This essential oil recipe for sunburn is simple but very effective. Lavender is an anti-inflammatory oil that helps reduce pain, redness and swelling and is commonly used not just for sunburn but for other burns as well. Peppermint is also anti-inflammatory and has a cooling effect. Aloe vera gel is moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and can help prevent peeling of the skin.

If you don't have all of the ingredients and you need some quick relief from sunburn, try applying a drop or two of lavender oil directly to the skin and spreading it over the sunburnt area.
